PROTECTIVE COATINGS – PROTECTING YOU
The PAXCON® range of Blast Protection Coatings and Spall Lining has been protecting personnel and military assets in the UK since 2005. LINE-X appoints a project manager to each applicant who will work closely with our design and engineering department at our corporate offices in the USA, to design a custom package for each project.
During a ballistic attack, most severe injuries occur and a significant amount of lives lost are due to ballistic fragmentation or spalling. PAXCON® solves this problem by encapsulating the fragments, which will remain trapped in the PAXCON material, posing no secondary damage.
What is Spall?
Spalling occurs when an object fractures and fragments upon impact of another surface, for instance when a bullet hits metal armour plating part of the bullet breaks up into tiny shards of metal that fly out at high pressure. It is these shards of the bullet that cause injury or even death.
Blast Mitigation, also known as bomb mitigation are forms of defence to protect people, facilities and assets by decreasing or preventing the effects of a bomb blast. LINE-X PAXCON PX-3350 is a spray applied protective coatings that has been designed to mitigate the effects of an explosion by containing the fragmented pieces that cause up to 80% of injuries during a bomb blast. When applied as part of a comprehensive protective measure against terror attacks and other dynamic events, PAXCON aids at keeping structures intact giving occupants valuable time to reach safety.
Blast Protection Wordwide
PAXCON has been applied and is protecting several buildings around the world, including the U.S. Pentagon, the Federal Court House in NY, the Washington Naval Base, and several buildings throughout London (UK).
